T26 Highlight for T2 Week 3 - It was a busy week with a lot of trips to support our studies.

This is the introduction of the Science Roadshow on our Thursday trip.

This is one of the Quiz activity that the children were working on at the Stardome on our Wednesday trip to One Tree Hill for our study on Solar System.


Lina was riding on one of the Roadshow activity while the other children were waiting for their turn.


These were some of the activities that the children were doing when they arrived from the Park and Walk in the morning
before school started. They write their names on these leaves and stick it on the tree.

Term 2 Week 1 - We start our new Term with Swimming and the Opera singing in schools

The children were keen to get into the water and start with their lesson in the pool.

The children were learning one to one with their Instructor.

They were divided into their groups according to how confident they were in the water.
This is one part of the Opera singing session that the children watched and they really enjoyed it.

T26 - Week 11 - Highlight of our last week of Term 1






Our last week - we had our learning, as usual, we did writing, then students moved out to write in their groups, then we had our shared session as a whole class sharing their stories that they were writing. It was great to have parents joining us in class this week. Thank you for supporting us with the learning and the shared lunch.

Term 1 Week 10 highlight - Assembly for achievement


Our children are getting ready for our swimming lesson to help them learned how to swim for their safety in the water.
This is our Tumanako's last assembly to celebrate our children's achievement of the week.

TUMANAKO 26: Term 1 Week 7: Park and Walk


TUMANAKO 26

This morning 14/03/2018........ We had our Park and Walk as part of our Travelwise Programme. 
All the students gathered near the Clendon Park near the dairy and walked along the footpath all the way to school. The teachers helped with the walk by checking and supervising that all the students used the footpath safely.  The walk ended at school with hot yummy Milo and marshmallows.

TUMANAKO 26 Term 1 Week 5 - Learning about Procedural Writing




Direct experience in how to make the best sandwich.


We are now writing about the procedure of how we make the sandwich.



Every Wednesday after lunch we join the rest of Tumanako for Sports. We are learning to throw a javelin correctly.

We are sitting up nicely for the Tumanako assembly with samples of our class work for our presentation.

This is our garden programme. It is called GTT (Gardens To Tables) We are weeding and preparing the soil for planting.

We are writing about our Garden Treaty and our safety rules.

TUMANAKO 26: Term 1 Week 3 - This is the First Whole School Assembly for 2018


Our School's first Assembly for 2018, farewelled Miss Manuele who will be flying away to Korea to teach. We wish her all the very best and we will surely miss her.

TUMANAKO 26: Term 1 Week 2 - Highlight of this week is our School Powhiri.


 The Powhiri went really well, we enjoyed the celebration and all the children were wearing their PRIDE Value throughout the ceremony.

OUR 2018 GTT (GARDEN TO TABLE PROGRAMME)

 Tumanako 26 was introduced to our first Garden to Table programme for 2018. They had to learn the safety rules when working in the garden or looking after our prized Hettie the pig and the chickens.
